Short poems from Mykyta Ryzhykh (February 2023)

***
the sky is playing its own existence
birds believe that they fly and fly
bones creak like violins

people spend the night
in the tunnels of nuclear winters
hearts become bullets

signs and posters around
and don't know where to go

***
my love wakes up at night when it's too late

heaven in the sky is empty
the moon is cracked
sunbeams broken
cities destroyed
wars started
dog people
dog dogs
people are bitches and dogs are dogs

and emptiness

***
Animal bodies.
Kittens, bunnies, piglets, puppies, ducklings, babies, human babies.
Well, just grace!
And still –
forcemeat in the city market.

***
I take a deep
breath of spring air
after paying for it

***
And when I left,
There were still stars in the sky,
But there was no more Earth.

***
the worm in my body
pretends
I'm not there

small poems from Ukrainian Poet Mykyta Ryzhykh

***
Indignant
In a raspy voice

Doesn’t eat anything
Doesn’t drink anything
Protests

Doesn’t touch anyone
Рretending to be the wind
Handing out money right and left

Imagines himself
Image
A picture of the postmodern half-life

And something else very important
I do not remember
Maybe wings
Could be a beak
Maybe a soul

Exactly
I do not remember

***
I promise that I will take away my painful darkness
But not right now

I will be able to understand the meaning of this darkness in the future
Well, for now

Give me a chance to die again
Cause freedom is loneliness
Love is a crime against loneliness

***
birds come home from
paradise and sing songs
the silence recedes

***
the fields
what's lurking out there

nothing
It's been a month of war

***
what the tear hides
spring is playing hide and seek

а winter feeling creeps into my heart
а tear freezes and doesn't dry up

inside the child the wizard dies
and becomes an adult
