Poetry: Reflections by Leonard Ugwu, Jr.

Reflections

You are my mirror, million miles
broken I see you. Nothing but your
tenderness traps my tendon into
contaminating the lapel of your essence.

You are my reflection
warming my skin
and wearing my sense.

I'm lost

Oh

I'm in lust

I have travelled trails that tangled
the tendency of my being.

Will God forgive me?

Or will he forsake me?

Even if the sun refuses
to cast the living day
out of darkness.

I will light you up
but
i won't love you

I will be you

For you are all I want to be.
my self, a reflection of me
a reflection of love.
