3 new poems by staci-lee sherwood :Foggy Morning, Writer’s song, The West

                                  Foggy Morning

                                           Awakened before dawn

                                                          The sun’s light

                                                  Not yet shining through

                                                  As the fog rolls in

                                                  Gently caressing the lake

                                                  All is quiet

                                                  As nature slowly rises

                                                  Warmth of the sun’s rays

                                                  Start to shine through

                                                   And the foggy morning

                                                   Is soon just a memory

                                                   As the new day begins

Writer’s song

Let all your thoughts free your mind
With inspirations that make you kind
So take a pen and let it flow
To find yourself and all you know
What greater love can there be
Then a love that is given free
So live among the various creatures
And study all their curious features
Then write to me what you see
And our love will always be free

                  The West

Windswept roads wickedly winding round the mountain
And glorious green grass is sun kissed from dew drops
Meandering meadows freckled by brilliantly blooming buds
With crystal clear creeks carefully cradled by canyons
Wintertime winds wildly whipping through us
While slippery snowflakes sprinkle summertime air
Rugged rock formations rekindle the rogue spirit
As animals abound aplenty all around the atmosphere
