The O of the Sky

The ebbing O of the sky
the submarine man sees
before he closes the hatch

now appears in her eyes
as I close those eyelids.
Grief floats by, and in the sonar
she can hear the jelly flesh of it.

In the sea ebony surrounding,
her neon heartbeat gybes
up and down searching for some feed
bearing the weight of the consciousness.

I wonder she could think about me
as the last sky seen before drowning.

Cabin Song

Your cabin in the forest
appears wearing
different shades of silence
night now and night then.

Right here in our I'd
the cabin shivers in a fever akin
to near-death.

We still our breath, and yet
air rotates in the assembly line
of the breathing.

The lord of the noise,
now and then,
blesses the Infestation of crickets.
I say, "Take your pills."

Earlier

"Efficacy," tweets a bird,
perhaps doesn't but my mind traipses on a tight-rope in the haze
while sleep writhes and bleeds away.

Mornings mould words
out of the noises and razes through all locations.
I lament over wiping of the sleep's precipitation.

"Efficacy," tweets the bird.
One young deodar quivers between
the meanings and the words.
One street sweeper joining the work greets a tired street walker returning.
Nothing's absolute there.
