Seas Coveted
Driftwood crackles Along ornate shorelines Where out as one swam Supple flesh was grasped And saline lubricant Did give internal cleansing As waves broke and hummed Their demented prayers As serenaded were lovers Submerged in waters ephemeral, And consumed by glaring moonlight As Aphrodite hushed waters And bitter waves did consume all sin, Cleansed by Neptune and offspring, Arcane. Conditions Riled nerves are collected In shelved discontent Where tedious tantrums Burst from arcane grudges And gargantuan exasperation Brings resurgence of recurrent quarrels To the forefront of voracious anger Never quelled by sutured lips That explode like canned nutrition Sealed away from the chagrin Of demented concoctions Connected by complex mania And cruel constellations Of failed socialization Where momentary lapses, Fugacious fiascos fleeting, Do act as a window To a duplexity of interchangeable actions, A swift look at the human condition Eternally bewildering. Adquiesco* Spilled scotch perfumes Dingy sheets with depravity As sensationalist tendencies Overtake the light of reality And erode humble living As grand fissures emerge And consume celestial beings In moments brief and shrouded, But still some stare on As open eyed delinquents Whose bodies remain confined To journalistic endeavors And crude depictions That cage their existence Into gilded worlds Where bedazzled pageantry Remains a fragment of vain minds Where once popularity ends And bright lights fade to cruel taunts Can dark boudoirs be seen As the final resting place of the rich, Reduced to soil and dust all the same. *repose; latin A Fevers of the Mind Quick-9 Interview with A.R.
