Binge
Scrambling,
in the plughole swill of stupor
to fill
this emptiness
until I'm bloated
with desolation.
My stomach made siren,
a protrusion: incessant reminder,
a planet of pain.
Scrambling,
in the bleary haze
of morning sewers,
to engulf
the precision of ritual,
to tone
this self-sabotage,
sculpt it
into reform, again
and again
Autumn's swathe
I stride
beneath a trellis of Braeburn apple-leaves,
autumn unfolding its vermilion arms
at my feet,
shooting gold-fire sparks
from its fingertips,
the wind
coiling me in its chill.
In this familiar entropy
I shiver, still
thinking of you
