  1. Thank you, David, for visiting JanBeek and introducing yourself and your blog to me by clicking a “follow” option. Much of my blog is written in poetry format ( I am especially fond of Haiku). Last year my three word theme for the year was “Walk the Talk” and I focused mainly on “Loving One Another” This year my theme is a single word, “Embrace.” I am sure it was inspired by my need for and lack of hugs. This pandemic has robbed us of the physical contact that for people like me is as essential as the blood that flows through my veins. It’s not hard to find something, some idea, some concept to embrace each day. Sifting through the many and choosing is the hard part! Your invitation here to write and submit poems for possible inclusion in “Avalanches in Poetry 2 Writings & Art Inspired by Leonard Cohen” is intriguing. I’ll give it some serious thought. Thank you! ❤
